As the quietest member of the Gray Ghost team, Hawk Ares risks life and limb on every mission, but when it comes to love, he plays it safe. At least until he overhears heated arguments from Red, his gorgeous neighbor, and his protective instincts ignite.

Hot-tempered waitress, Stella Klein, is mortified at her neighbor’s concern for her safety, and she blames the situation on her brother. With escalating stakes where money is key, her brother forces her to search for their family’s elusive treasure. She vows to stand by his side no matter what, even when his carelessness puts her in harm’s way.

A high-stakes game of cat and mouse ensues when loan sharks set their sights on Stella. Hawk does what he’s trained to do and keeps her safe—even from himself. As the danger escalates, dark secrets fight to be heard, and enemies new and old resurface and threaten to tear them apart.

Upper East Side artist, Olivia Wrightwood is ready for a change. Marrying Alex Mudarra, a dedicated and up-and-coming NYPD detective, is exactly what she needs to escape the clutches and scrutiny of her family’s political dynasty.

Life with Alex is simple and secure–everything she’s ever wanted. Or so she thought…

When Alex’s career plans shift from police work to politics, their idyllic life shifts back to the familiar corruption she ran away from. And after she overhears a late night call, her safety shatters and doubt sets in. Can a surprise trip make amends or will this second honeymoon lead to a dangerous life of manipulation and lies?

The King of Horror

When we learned Stephen King was going on tour it was an opportunity we didn’t want to miss. I mean…Stephen King!Screen Shot 2016-06-14 at 4.40.15 PM

Ryman line            It took almost eight hours to drive to Nashville, Tennessee, where our tickets were. His End of Watch tour was being held at the Ryman Auditorium and the line to get in wrapped around the building. We stood in the 100-degree weather waiting with the rest of the audience for entrance into the sold out show. Approximately 2400 people filled the auditorium.

He didn’t disappoint. For quite some time Mr. King entertained us with engaging stories from his youth and adult life, as well as details of his writing career. He talked about what it was like growing up in a small community, how his experiences influenced him, his failures, and his successes.

When we spilled out into the Nashville streets with our hardcover books in hand, the CMS Fest was still all around us. Before traveling home we made sure to take in the sites and listen to some excellent bands.SK Taylor and Mecmsfest
